Terms of Use
Effective Date: April 19, 2026
SVEN is operated by the individual developer behind naol.dev, based in Stockholm, Sweden. Contact: contact@svenpremium.com
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the SVEN Chrome Extension ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SVEN is a browser extension that reads available subtitles from supported media platforms and provides real-time translations. SVEN is offered through paid subscriptions, and gift codes may also be accepted. Trial access may be offered at our discretion.
3. Account Registration and Subscriptions
To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Payments: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis via our payment processor, Stripe. Subscriptions are billed at the start of each billing period.
Gift Codes: Gift codes are single-use and non-transferable unless otherwise stated.
Account Deletion and Cancellation: You may request deletion of your account at any time through the extension settings or by contacting support. When you do:
- Any active recurring subscription will be canceled so that you are not billed again after your deletion request.
- You will keep access to SVEN until the end of your current subscription period or trial period.
- Your account and associated personal data will be deleted from our active systems within 30 days of your request, except where we must retain limited information to comply with legal obligations.
4. Immediate Access and Right of Withdrawal
SVEN is a digital service delivered immediately upon purchase. By completing a purchase, you explicitly request immediate access to the service and acknowledge that you thereby waive your 14-day right of withdrawal (ångerrätt) under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (Distansavtalslagen, SFS 2005:59), in accordance with Chapter 3, Section 16 of that Act.
To submit a withdrawal request, please use our Withdrawal Form.
5. Acceptable Use and Restrictions
You agree to use SVEN only for personal, non-commercial viewing. You shall not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or service credentials used by the extension.
- Use the Service to artificially inflate translation API requests or launch automated or bot-driven queries.
- Share or resell your account credentials or gift codes.
6. Intellectual Property
SVEN retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all underlying code, branding, and UI designs. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the extension for its intended purpose.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for high quality, SVEN does not guarantee the absolute accuracy, real-time sync, or context-perfect nature of the translations, as these rely on automated third-party translation APIs (e.g., Google Cloud).
Technical Limitations: SVEN requires the streaming platform to provide native subtitles as separate text tracks. SVEN cannot access or translate subtitles that are "burned-in" or embedded directly in the video stream. Furthermore, SVEN's functionality may be limited or interrupted by other browser extensions that modify video players or page content. We do not guarantee uninterrupted compatibility with third-party streaming platforms, as their underlying code changes frequently.
SVEN receives security updates for as long as it is actively sold and supported.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Swedish law, SVEN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms of Use, including by abusing API limits or attempting to exploit the Service.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be settled by the public courts of Sweden.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes to SVEN, our business model, or applicable law. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date.
